I listened to your heartsong, Almost three years ago. You spoke of love and happiness, Things only children know. There was meaning in your heartsong, I understood it loud and clear. Like a secret, sacred message, Whispers only I could hear. I cried over your heartsong, It struck the essence of my being. Something inside me awoke, Like a blind man, finally seeing. Your hardships wrote your heartsong, This is something I understand. When you felt like you could barely hold a pen, You let the tears guide your hand. I'll never forget your heartsong, In a way I'm glad you're free. In loving memory Mattie Stepanek, July 17, 1990 - June 22, 2004 ..... SUMMER .... hello, young lady .... a very touching tribute to a most wonderful and magnificent '13' year old, who was by far, more 'adult' than most so-called adults are .... his 'love' will be missed .... so wise for so young .... NOTE: everyone who does not know, go read his 'poetry' books .... amazing stuff! .... brian....UPDATE - JUNE 25TH .... SUMMER - hello,a gain .... just saw '193' viewings on your pin up .... and '25' for mattie? .... sad, huh?.... take care .... brian.

very touching.It does make the heart weep to see such wonderfull and gentle beauty taken away before the world has even a chance to know her. I hope she is never forgotten and dwells with angels.
