Description
It looks like a rainbow in the sky and is (like the rainbow) a refraction effect. But no raindrops are producing a Cicumzenithal Arc. This Haloeffect is caused by flat, sixsided ice crystalls. It always surrounds the zenith and just can be seen if the sun is lower then 32

I have never seen one of these before. I've witnessed double rainbows, and aurora borealis, but not this. Thanks for sharing!
