I've been a 3d "hobby artist" on and off since sometime around 2000 or so. I've never stuck with it long enough to get good or to learn any advanced techniques, but when I do "play around" I have fun.
I also started messing around with vector drawing, as I can't really draw. Using vector allows me to utilize shape deformation and tweaking to create my scenes.
As of right now, July 2018, I'm working hard toward a goal I've had for a decade plus, and that is to make physical card, dice and board games for adults as well as animations and some simple video games. To that end, I'm developing my own characters in vector. The style is simplistic but I believe it will be really good once I have several items completed.

Very nice image. I really like the colors & composition. The light breeze rustling across the water is a very nice touch.

haha runeseeker's words were my thoughts ;) the post-work filter you used gives it a nice painting feel, but also makes it look like it's in need of antialiasing. something to try would be to render a massive version (like 2000+ pixels wide), applying the filter and then scaling it down
