This is a project for the June challenge on the Trek Art forum of the TrekBBS. Each month, we have a new challenge, chosen by the winner of the previous month's challenge; the topic this month was Star Trek-universe personal spaceships that seat only 1-3 people and are not Starfleet craft. Ideally, they were to be no larger than a typical TOS shuttlecraft, and preferably smaller, though that evolved over the course of the first week; they also could not be capable of FTL travel, so no warp nacelles. My idea was a sporty two-seater, from about the era of TOS; this was actually my first design, though I did 4 others, including the Valkyrie, and I plan to develop this, Valkyrie and one other as Poser

Kudos on a fantastic exectuion and a brilliant design conceptualization. Your modeling skills are certainly developing at an incredible rate, and your rendering skills too! My only critical input to your design is to have the control panels merge more logically with the layout of your dashboard. The squares in the eye shaped board could be evolved even more. Fantastic work. :o)

Obviously, you weren't the only one to think the instruments could use some work ;-). Was I more successful on the redesign?
Thanks for the positive responses, all :-D.

A wonderful piece of skilled modelling. My only negative criticism is that the curved nature of the dashboard would do better with more curved displays. The square displays are at odds with the overall design. However the view inside the cockpit gives a real impression of being in there.

A Chrysler made, Mini Space-Shuttle? How much will this baby set us back (cost-wise) in the future? A very Creative Image.
