Description
Way back in the early to mid 70's, Jim Stafford made it big with a series of novelity songs such as Spiders and Snakes. One of my favorites was his first, Swamp Witch. I'll noever forget that first verse:
Black Water Hattie lived back in the swamp
Where the strange green reptiles crawl
Snakes hang thick from the cypress trees
Like sausage on a smokehouse wall
Where the swamp is alive with a thousand eyes
An' all of them watchin' you
Stay off the track to Hattie's shack in the back of the Black Bayou
This is what I had in mind as I did this image.
