Description

***The Huygens probe has landed on the surface of Titan, and as can be seen it was on solid ground. This wide angle view allows more of the surface of the giant moon to be seen, as well as some hydrocarbon lakes. Shortly, the battery power for the probe will be used up, but not before all the data is beamed back to the Cassini orbiter. This data will keep scientists busy for years no doubt.*** Holy cow...I was not expecting to be posting this on the same page as two other Saturn/Titan based pics! Looks like a few of us are on the same wavelength (or planet!) today. This is the conclusion to my small series...I hope you've all enjoyed it! Many thanks to all your comments, too! --Mike

I guess it's like the "Mars" fad was at one time. (It's a one-time thing for me...) Well nobody really knows what the surface looks like yet, but this could be an accurate of a guess as any. I think I like this one best of all in your series!
