Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

What a beautiful image JC, I love the ground and death branches with this marvelous flower growing up it. It makes a fantastic metaphore of life. Thanks my friend. Just a question, is orchid the right term? the typical behaviour of orchids is to live upon another tree, they don't grow on ground I think, is'nt it? Excellent shot my friend.

JC you did get it, it's so beautifull, the diffrent shades of green, the yellow, the way the sun gently kisses the flower warmming it just enough for it to bloom, then a butterfly takes you to it, you were suppost to find it, & you did abeautifull job photographing it, it makes you feel so warm & sunny inside you can't help but smile, & a deep sigh of uter contentment, then I giggle as JC tries to skate on very small but sink to the bottem of the ice cold spring water pond, comes up & screams likea crazed banshie stubbles & slides back into it's & screams again while I do the pee dance cause I'm laughing so hard, & fall over tying to help JC out LMAO!! ;0P LOVE the photo (V)!!!!!!!!! @-}--
