Lichen on a rock face.

West Coast of Scotland.
This stuff can take many decades to grow. Its a sort of Fungi or Alga that forms this bright orange crust on the rock.

I've seen pictures of Mars, and all the scenery in view was just a lot of red rock. However, if Venus had life on it, hehe.... well, maybe. It is a colorful image! :o)
