Description
The background fractal was created in Sterlingware. I made the feathers with KPT5's FiberOptix plugin and they have always been available for download in the freebies area (and from my homepage here) as a PSP tube. The bird is a re-worked Hemera photo object. All post work was done in PSP8.
My unequivocal love of (and for) birds inspired this piece. Francis of Assisi is the patron saint of birds (among other things) and I'd like to dedicate this image to Dirk... a fellow animal lover and a gentle spirit... :)
Thanks always for your visits and thoughts! ~Helen~

Fantastic looking work! The bird seems to be flying through the open roof of a cathedral. Excellently done!

Oh, wow, thanks Helen, it's gorgeous. The reason why I'm so late is that i only now have the time to catch up, after a grueling week in our animalshelter. See, I work one week there, and then i have a week to work at my art before starting the cycle again. This way, my art keeps me sane after a week of hope and despair at the shelter, and my work at the shelter keeps me in contact with brutal reality, which in it's turn keeps my art going. It's a win-win situation for both the animals and my art ;-)) Thanks again for this beautiful work, ((((cyberhug))))
