Description

[Sigh] I wrote a long piece on this, hit the Upload button and Renderosity appeared to go down and I lost it. So in summary.... Hair is dynamic, posed with 10 frames of simulation to get it to rest of the coffee table. The hair room doesn't seem to cope well with fall resting on a surface, which is why it is a little frizzy. Simulation only took about a minute to run (I must have run about 50 sims to get the look I wanted!). Trick it to make sure all the hair guides are NOT passing thru any collision objects after draping. Once a hair passes thru a collision object, the sim takes forever. Also, only the skull cap and table are collision objects. Floor and rug texture from KTN. Why isn't there a shadow on the rug from her knee? Took about 5mins to render without ray-tracing. Once r/t was turned on for the final render, it took just under 4hrs. Reflections are on for the coffee table, but no refractions. There are multiple reflections of her arms, which is either because I have 4 r/t spots, or the glass surface has a top and bottom poly surface. I really wanted to add FoV to this, but figured the render would take too long. I assume I don't need a nudity tag for this???

Just when I was surfing the galleries and bemoaning the sad state of poser hair (and the preponderance of Kozaburo hair) I come across this! Phenomenal! Not only is the hair masterful, but the reflection on the table! I have been struggling to achieve that reflective effect in an image of mine, and will be messaging you for more info. Congrats on a remarkable and innovative use of the software.

A for effort. The table does have 2 reflect surfaces. Another RTspot angle will cure that. A good dispmap spot should get the knee shadows. Disp checked? Love the floor. You can put a weak reflect on the wood floor. Just enough to pick up some flesh and shadow. Refract would be nice but the main RTspot (I think) will have to be behind her for it to work (1.467 ?). This is tough stuff to get right...Skin looks superhot!
