Description
One neighbor has a tiny classical birdbath ... the neighbor between has a hunting cat and no regard for the importance of containing of feline leukemia, neutering of pets, or the devastation an unmonitored cat really can wreak, a guaranteed formula for a long line of heartaches ... the cat has more smarts than its "owner" and a healthy sense of the value of an opportunistic hunting station. This is another antique digital image that can hardly withstand the needed cropping, but it portrays a moment that is both savage and cute.

Cats do what nature programs them to do. I don't blame the cat either. It is the ignorance/apathy of the owners that makes me angry. We had a cat, pure white, and we put a bell around her neck because she killed so many song birds. But Snowball was so stealthy, that she could get within a few feet before she sprinted, by then the bell served little purpose. My parents shipped her off to a farm where she could have her fill of mice. Great shot G!!
