Description

Vacation time offers great opportunities to enjoy life. The freedom of going there where you want to explore or just enjoying the rest. On this occasion I had the following program:

  • 3.15 wake up
  • 3.45 leave the house with the car (entirely dark, I can see the milky way)
  • 4.25 leave the car on 1454 meter and continue by foot (first driving a circle to find the track with the lights of the car)
  • 5.30 arrive on Grosse Scheidegg on 1962 meter and wait for sunrise
  • 5.42 shoot the rising sun and enjoy the view on the landscape that colors from deep red through orange to yellow and white
  • 6.00 breakfast while shivering in the cold (it's little freezing, just a few centigrades)
  • 6.20 continue the walk on the same height and after approximately 5 kilometer the track goes a few hundreds of meters up
  • 8.45 stop at Bachalpsee on 2265 meter, to enjoy the view on the summits (4000 m) in the south and the frozen lakes, shooting one slide after another
  • 9.15 lie down on a bench, temperatures little above 0

Sorry about your troubles but you can laugh about it and make the best of the situation so that's good!!! I loved your description of your day!!! Yes, vacation always seems to be jammed packed with things we want to do. anyway, this actually turned out really good. I know you're gonna think I'm crazy, but i see a soldier's portrait in those mountains. Look at the base of the mountains, going inward. Right before you see the blue shadows, there he is...mirrored on both sides. I have no idea what it really is, but I'm wondering if there was some kind of battle here? Anyway, i also just woke up so maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me!!!

Hi sheila, I can see a face too. on the right side it is looking t the right, and on the left side it is looking to the left. I think that is not a soldier, it's a troll! .-)

I like this image! I am sorry for the problems you experienced with your cam, I had a similar problem with my old manual Minolta, I wound up doing a complete overhaul on that cam. I hope your problem is simple and can be easliy fixed.
