Description

With a new collection of wild orchids I can do two things. I can offer someone a bunch of orchids, or I can hand them out one by one. I opted for the latter. These two orchids I dedicate to Brenda a.k.a. Nilla, because she loves orchids and... she had her birthday yesterday.

(or shall I say, with your 10,594th day?) I hope you'll have a wonderful new year in good health with many, many beautiful shots. And please, oh please, do not be ashamed of yourself, because there are many members of RR who like to have you in front of your camera in place of hiding yourself behind the viewfinder :) Twelve days in the Alps have been wonderful. On my way back I have a rendezvous with my neighbours. They have went yesterday for a vacation in the Black Forest and we've agreed to find each other on a meeting-point somewhere in the neighborhood of Freiburg (im Breisgau). They do know this place very well and they wanted to show me some interesting areas. The first new wild orchid we find here is this one, the pyramidal orchid (Anacamptis pyramidalis). In the early light of this morning these two orchids radiate the happiness of the summer, and just making so many shots here I were lucky despite my disfunctioning cam to keep still some good exposures.
