Oh man, lol, this is so cool, Uwe! I saw your post saying how you'd drawn the entire Star Wars epic, didn't think I'd ever have a chance to see it, so this is really great! Thanks for sharing it! :D

Must have been quite a trip down memeory lane. It is often very fine to re-experience strong feelings from childhood.

Wow, you had it all frame by frame--and the characters are recognizable! You were an awesome talent already. I have to say that Star Wars influenced me too--my husband looks a lot like Mark Hamill;-))

Ohh WOW!! Thank you for sharing your memories and early art Uwe. Fabulous at least. I won my first (and only) award about that age too, A year art scholship. Seems that we all get diverted by lifes practical needs, like food and shelter which art alone won't supply. Please keep on sharing Uwe. Love it all. :-)

I see you were very prolific creating star wars stories. Those initial movies were so impressive and inspirational. Fantasy is the mother of the creativeness.

This is such a coincidence, Uwe! Just this morning I was ooohing and ahhhing over a huge manga story that a 13 year old friend of my daughter's has been drawing for over a year. Before inspiration came from Star Wars and this generation it's Kenshin, lol!! She's been doing it with a mouse and in Microsoft Paint! Amazing. These images are fantastic! You were an exceedingly talented child and I'm so glad you kept your earlier works. Love seeing what you did back then. Very well done!!!

Uwe, I always thought you were born with a gift and these images just prove that! In seeing these images, it is very very clear how dedicated you were in learning your craft. The amount of detail you showed then have become your trademark in everything you do now. Thanks for sharing!!!

It's true - you are a born artist! I love seeing this. You might have given up comic illustration, but I can assure you and your love for action and adventure and super heroes and villians is alive and thriving in adult work. Wonderful of you to share this withus. :o) CC

It's fascinating to see these early works. Children's art is always so fresh. I always encourage children to draw, not that they need much encouragement!

Even at the young age, you can see your talent shining through, as in being able to draw Vader and Skywalker at all angles. Wonderful work as a youngster and it's always fun to see people's first works.
