Description
Always wanted to do a city vista scene. Think this one came out pretty well outside-wise, mostly because of moebius' dystopia city blocks (the freebie ones). Inside i got inspired by Pierre Cardin's Cannes house. Modelled in Wings, that Poser guy is a handout from one of my friends (thanks Jae) and should be ignored. The sun is disabled. Hope you enjoy :)

Holy S**t! This is a brilliant pic, not only for the modeling, but for the lighting and composition too! Love that corridor and the shadows and excellently done glass reflections! Have...no will left...must vote!

Great modeling job. But I'm pretty sure that's the observation deck of the Hilton on Chasak 3.

Fantastic my friend, I love the curve of the corridor, and bold use of colours. This has quality written all over it!

Excellent composition. The glass reflections, are a nice touch. I really like the traffic of vehicles flying outside the glass above the city. Unfortunately the textures are a bit flat and lifeless. I really wish I could ignore the poser figure, as it takes away from what would've been an excellent work. overall good job.

Excellent work!!

Composition is really nice. It would be pretty cool if there were a craft hovering outside that window in front of the guy standing there... He would have something particular to be looking at. Although he may just be taking in the view too. Cool work Drac.

moebius is one of my favorite artists (betcha you did not know that!) Great image! You know how how feel about the rest.

This is a neat image, as much about color and composition as anything else. A couple of ideas: 1) the color oppositions in this are very important. The orange is such a hot vibrating color-- it washes away the pastel blues in the foreground. Try opening this up in a Photoeditor and playing with the colors of various pieces (they'll be easy to autoselect) 2) Framing the guy in dead center is, in art theory terms, a "no-no". Granted, rules are for libraries, not your own pictures, but you can experiment with different croppings and see what you come up with-- I think you'll find that a cropping that puts him at a 1/3 or 2/3 position, will add a bit to the "tension" in the scene 3) Finally, "what's the story" -- this is one of those pictures that's illustrating something. What, exactly? What's he waiting for? Something good, or something bad? This may all seem tendentious, but its not. . .pictures tell stories, and the more complete the story, the more interesting the picture

man...it looks like my house from Fierna8.... :))

Very nicely done... I can't help but wondering what that guy is contemplating. Great contrasts in colors and forms the cool exteriors and vibrant interiors, the organic interiors and the hard edged exteriors. :o)

this is a great piece and a fine tribute to Chasak 4
