Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

Never went by a hovercraft... must be a great experience... looking forward to your London series :o)

I have never seen one in real life...I used to love hovercrafts when I was a kid. I like this image. Personally, I would have cropped the top away and stretched the bottom of the image (of course keeping the rule of thirds) Too bad the hovercraft in the distance wasn't in full view...it would have created an awesome perspective. Wicked image regardless. :)

Hmmm...you are teaching me something new today. I've never heard of a hovercraft before now and certainly never seen anything like this! It kinda looks like an inflatable boat on the bottom. Of course, i know it's not! Anyway, it's really cool looking and i LOVE the colors! What i love the most about this image though is how you captured the motion of those 3 propellors! Really makes me feel like I'm there moving! :)

Nice... the angle captures the idea that it is huge, too. Can almost feel it thundering forward.

The blurred motion of the props and the water spray or dust makes this photo come alive. Excellent!

I haven't seen a pic of one of those Saunders-Roe SRN-4's in 25 years. What an amazing reappearance! The promise was kept.

Now I am curious about hovercraft. But what I see seems to me like a space sheep only I don't see any allien climbing out......... our Commander Tedz could help I guess. ;)

I've seen one in action before. These boats are loud and barely skim the water. It's an incredible experience, let alove going on one. Don't the British Royal Marines use these for amphibious assault vehicles ? Great shot man, can't wait for the rest !

Love the shot...The capture of the motion of the propeller blades is perfect...the size of the hovercraft rules out the "rule of thirds" IMHO. I have used Agfa films in the past with beautiful results...used to have a saturated film base no longer produced...I suppose the RSX is the film now used for saturated color in the Agfa family....however the purple bias needs to be corrected, in my opinion.

Excellent shot. And the composition is just fine.

On https://www.quicktechhobby.com/Hovercrafts/Hovercrafts/SR-N4%20HOVERCRAFT.htm I found this information:
The SR.N4, known as the Mountbatten class, was the world's largest hovercraft, capable of carrying 254 passengers and 30 cars across the channel in half an hour. It was 200 tons, and had a top speed of 83 knots. The SR.N4's propellers have a diameter of 21 feet, making them the largest driven propellers in the world. The hovercraft's fuel is kerosene, which is the same fuel as an airliner.
Thank you, Dale (a.k.a. tallpindo)!

super stuff - never used this kind of vehicol...[I have to ask you smth - I saw that every post from London have a lot of magenta..I've been working in a photo studioand I know that is the tone of Agfa; why don't you make a leveling in Photoshop ('cause that magenta is really annoying)? I ask you because I saw so many beautiful photos in your gallery and I'm wondering how you can stand this magenta in your photos]

The movement of the propellers is superb! The environment of this image makes us float;) Good JcV2 Vacancy!
