Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

A fantastic slice of life shot! I love this type of photography.... seems to be a very strong magenta cast in this... maybe a result of the film scan?

Pity it's not done anymore, it was something special for London. I'm growing old, this happened to be in use in 1990!

What a powerful message & great shot. I like the idea of this speaker's corner. It would be cool if they also had debating corner as well (if it's all done in a polite way) I would love to visit there!!!

I wonder why they stopped doing it? Great shot though. We have a Speakers Corner here of sorts...on camera. You put in your $ and speak your mind and they put them on tv. Ther is even a half hour show every week dedicated to it.

Ah, reminds me of my college years. There were always numerous folks preaching their various messages out on the main lawn. I miss the atmosphere of it! I bet this was an interesting place to be.
