Me and my beloved sailor...never so far apart....never so close.
Â
Although I've been a member here a long time, I have had little opportunity these past few years to savor the joy of posting my art and commenting on the work of those I admire and have had a friendship with. Family and medical has taken precedence in my life, even to the point of not being able to sit long enough at a computer to work. So now that things are looking a bit brighter and I am feeling better, I hope to once again post and comment! I have so missed this circle of talented people with their warmth of soul and passion of art. -- Feb. 22 ' 08

Awesome! You have such an incredible talent for working with words in such a way that you can reach the reader and cause them to draw on a similar personal experience. Stunning piece!

"My world is a watercolor in the rain." Wow- love that line. How well you communicated and understood what you could and could not give to this 'blue boy'. Exceptional and very engaging writing. :o) CC

Poor "boy blue" ... I feel for him ... to have the prospect of happiness offered then taken away [even if he's unaware - as most blue boys are - that there is for him some hope for salvation] A very moving and subtley complex poem. v

So beautiful , I also liked the world being a watercolor in the rain expression. What a fine poem. v

You love so deeply too. Why do we do this to our selves! Why do we always want what is just out of reach? Beautiful in every since of the word!
