Me and my beloved sailor...never so far apart....never so close.
Â
Although I've been a member here a long time, I have had little opportunity these past few years to savor the joy of posting my art and commenting on the work of those I admire and have had a friendship with. Family and medical has taken precedence in my life, even to the point of not being able to sit long enough at a computer to work. So now that things are looking a bit brighter and I am feeling better, I hope to once again post and comment! I have so missed this circle of talented people with their warmth of soul and passion of art. -- Feb. 22 ' 08

Captivating! You've done an awesome job of saying exactly what so many of us miss during out 'search'; the perfect person standing right before our eyes. We truly can be such blind creatures and you've so successfully captured that in your poem. Awesome!

A complex, yet compelling, analysis of the perennial search for the ultimate soul-mate. The short [but succinct] stanzas ensure that unwanted sentimentality doesn't creep in .. for which you must be congratulated. An excellent read! v
