Me and my beloved sailor...never so far apart....never so close.

Although I've been a member here a long time, I have had little opportunity these past few years to savor the joy of posting my art and commenting on the work of those I admire and have had a friendship with. Family and medical has taken precedence in my life, even to the point of not being able to sit long enough at a computer to work. So now that things are looking a bit brighter and I am feeling better, I hope to once again post and comment! I have so missed this circle of talented people with their warmth of soul and passion of art. -- Feb. 22 ' 08

A very moving and delightfully written account of a ... ? farewell. The inclusion of future possibilties gives the poignancy of the piece a distinct upward twist. v

Sadly but sweetly accepting the goodbye. You write so touching about this. I can feel the emotion in this. And the hope in the end is beautiful. V

Brilliant piece! The way you've used a short poem but have been able to convey so much emotion is absolutely awesome. An excellent use words!

You really do convey some really powerful thoughts and emotions with very few, but very well chosen words....you paint a picture with your writing...I love it all!!

I liked this piece a great deal because it deals with what most have dealt with at some time .... it also states how 'torn' someone is with saying 'goodbye' forever and still leaving the 'possibility' of a future somehow that most probably will never occur .... I think 'death' is easier to 'handle' than 'separation' at times, imho? .... superb work!!

I have learned the hard way, as you, that just because your soul mates it doesn't mean you have to be together, by law or any other way to still be friends. XOXOX

This is a very sad piece for me. It has brought out some painful memories I've tried to suppress for some time now...but it is beautiful, how you've captured every emotion and thought...
