Description
The INS Shiv, a dagger class destroyer gets a load out and a checkup in a dry dock aboard the fleet mother-ship, INS Hera. With the ability to put medical, resupply, and repair facilities close to the moving front, the fleet mother-ships played a pivotal role in the Second InterStellar War. Constructed from hollowed out asteroids, the fleet mother-ships are the largest jump capable constructions made by humans.
All of the models were made in Wings and rendered in Bryce. About the only post work was the skull decals and attaching a couple of feet to the floor. ;)
The scene was constructed as an almost complete set in Wings by merging in model files and then exported as a single model. Its quicker to assign textures that way. The little people are mark 2 Bobs. The Bobs are less than 400 polys each so you can have a bunch of them and they're OK for distance shots. I'm working on an 800 poly mark 3 Bob for the middle distance. In Bryce the whole set is a closed box. All of the lighting is from the floating light globes.
Oh well ... this one was fun to do and gave me a bunch of new models for the library.

This is an image that I could study to learn from. It has so much detail. The POV is incredible. All the modeling work is spot on in perspective. The colors and textures used work well in the composition. Great work!

One fine image. The unusual use of color for some of the elements is most excellent and the detail and depth you have achieved is super. Vote!
