Description

Well I finally got a dedicated macro lens for my Digital Rebel. And of course I had to rush out and find something to shoot and this little blowfly was kind enough to sit still long enough for me to take his picture. Although the Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro lens works great and does a great job, I do believe the Canon EF 100mm Macro might be better for jobs like this. at least it will give you a little more working distance, if anyone is interested in that little bit of information :) I know I will buy one in the future, but for now I love the 50mm Macro and thanks for looking at my work!

Wow, what a great close up of a creature that is generally regarded as only fit for rapid disposal!! The colours and textures are fascinating! Well done!

You have a 50 mm lens, thats is also standard (lens) not a macro? You no? We can make't with adopter, thats all. The fly sitting down, well you make a picture. Its verry good. I come from Holland and my englisch is not so very good, but a think the pickture is better. Thanks

I am so fascinated of macros, they really let you see the world with new eyes. Beautiful shot of such a rascal that disturbs the night's sleepa snd I just chase away without looking.
