Description
This is something very special: A photograph (panormama, 2 shots) of the landscape that was printed on the Austrian 20 Schilling banknote.
At least 10 years ago I started to have a dream: To visit the "Semmeringbahn" (the trainroute across the Semmeringpass) and to stand, where the picture has been taken for the meant banknote paper. Last week my dream came true.
The "Semmeringbahn" was build 150 years ago, Carl Ritter von Ghega was the man who did this masterpiece, a railway between Gloggnitz and M

Picky: Looks as if the banknote view was to the right of where you were, but a very neat idea all in all! Nice. That bridge is something else too. Looks like a Roman aqueduct/viaduct. Bravo to you and the engineers who gave us this view. ;-)
