Description

Hi all. Today is the last day of my 30 day trial period of 3dsmax6, so I wanted to try another ship model to finish with. I got the idea for creating this model after Hawke (a fellow renderosity member) mentioned this ship to me. It appears in a game called Halo (So I have been told, I've never played it LOL!) and there is very little reference material out there to use to help create the ship. Anyway, It's far from perfect but thank's for looking and thank's to Hawke for suggesting it again. Cheers Minty P.s. if anyone has an extra

Well what can I say, very impressive for a days work. Deffinately very close to the 'Pillar of Autumn' and a beauty of a ship. Excellent job - start saving them pennies :D

The model is very good, you should work on the textures (they make the difference from a good drawing to a bad one). P.S. This ship also looks like a Battlecruiser from HomeWorld2.

Yeah, you are right about the textures but I used something that was quick and to hand at the time. I might try and get back to doing some textures for this model at a later date if I get the time. Thank's for all the comments so far.

Halo , And halo 2 were both made in 3ds max they used most of the max's preset materials ie: the pilar of autumn with the space panels material and in blood gulch they used the grass material from the "ground" section
