Lyrics from "The Rose" as performed by Bette Midler When the night has been too lonely And the road has been too long And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong Just remember in the winter Far beneath the bitter snow Lies the seed That with the sun's love, in the spring Becomes the rose --------------------- The promised close-up of my glass rose. As you can see, I tweaked a few things in the image from the previous post. All textures are standard Vue 4, by the way. The odd texture on the vase (far left) is actually pond water. I just liked the way it played with light and the leaves/plants give it a little character. The image is a little larger than I normally post, but I wanted you to see the great details on the glass.

Beautifully done! Really spectacular reflections. I don't think I have seen any thing like it. Especially the glass rose.

Even better than the first version of this pic. Now it is very clear to see, that the roses are made of glass. Fantastic idea to show the scene reflected in the ball. Excellent work. vote

As I am working backwards, I have seen the other closeup of the rose! I like this one better as I can see it more clearly, but they are both Fantastic!!
