Description

My most triumphant (and nutritious) work yet! The orb was painstakingly modeled from over 10,000 cubes; each positioned by hand (or mouse as the case may be) to create the illusion of a perfect spherical shape. Alternately, the cube was modeled from almost 120,000 manually resized and repositioned spherical objects (they are awfully small spheres to create the appearance of such sharp corners!) The pyramid is but 1 simple triangular object, but I spent well over 40 hours resizing and moving it to ensure the perfect size and location. I believe the sky and textures to be my biggest achievement! The sky took me over 3 solid weeks to create! I endlessly pressed the "Sky & Fog randomize" button until I hit upon the perfect sky (any similarities to the default Bryce sky is purely coincidental.) Then I flew from America to Europe and photographed the greatest ancient Greek monuments, scanned them into my computer, spent another 3 weeks manipulating them in Photoshop and Painter (to remove any photo imperfections and to make the textures perfectly seamless), then delicately placed them on each object (notice how the texture on the sphere is set to Parametric View while the pyramid's texture has been subtly calibrated to Randomize? It's these ingenious touches that separate me from the average artist.) I rendered this masterpiece in Bryce 5 on Premium Quality Mode (with Soft Shadows, Blurry Reflections, Blurry Transmissions, True Ambience and Depth of Field all selected.) After the 36 days it took to complete rendering, I finished it all off with some massive postwork in Photoshop and Painter (you know, to give it that severely

I just had to return to bask in the glory of this masterpiece. You are a genius. When I die, Heaven will seem pale and trivial, now that I have looked upon this.

The superlative grandiosity is exceeded only by the precocious verbosity. Tickety-boo, you.

Well, I'm hooked. I nearly reached orgasm viewing this picture. My one complaint is that now that I've seen it, the element of surprise has evaporated and I am forever jaded. From this night onward, you will find me sitting in a pool of my own urine, weeping with alternate joy and despair: joy, because I have glimpsed true greatness, and despair, because I can never hope to think to maybe possibly aspire to even lick your bootheel. You are a true master of the art, and I offer you my first-, second-, third-, and fourth-born to you as indentured servants in the hope that they will be allowed to have the honor of sawing down logs with their buttcheeks in hope that you will use the wood as kindling in your fireplace. My life, simultaneously given fresh hope and stripped of all dignity, will never be the same again. I will leave my wife and all my mistresses to become the lowliest celibate friar in the Temple of Lone Glyph. I offer you five pints of my blood, just in case you feel like painting and are running out of red (though my blood could never be as red as yours). You will shortly receive the deed to my house and all my earthly posessions for the majesty of your art work. In the words of Herbert Kornfeld, I give you stoopid-fresh props, cuz you got mad skillz.

The symbolism is so....so.... so deep. Your angst comes through well with this emotion-filled image. Congrats!

Ok. Let me be the first to lower the rating of your image. It's not because it isn't worthy of a 10, it's just that I'm so jealous of it! May you rot in hell for ruining my artwork for all eternity!

I wept openly. The skillful use of textures alone inspires me to ask if I might study at your feet one day.

Uh, no you are not the only one. I can't believe these people gave this a score of 10. Have fun with it, but don't score it, you only take away from real artists who actually do good work. And, it certainly doesn't belong anywhere in the Top 20, which is where it is now. This is not the artists fault, they are just having fun. Don't mean to be the fly in the ointment, just seeing WAY too much of this.

Well I certainly cant claim this is funny, only that an attempt at humor was made. And I believe the 10s were given by those who found the humor in it. As for giving it a 10 insulting, I personally find it insulting that so many people at Renderosity oooh and aaah over the latest Poser Hot 20 model (who looks exactly like every other model there, with a slight change in hair color.) There are too many stuffy artists that are so worried about the technical proficiency of their art that they fail to have fun with it. I mean, if your art is technically flawless but fails to evoke any sort of feeling or inspiration, then whats the point? Its not really art then, is it?

See what you made me do AgentSmith! You made me turn a funny, frivolous work into something far too serious. Damn you! Damn you to hell!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahem, sorry about that. Anyone know any good fart jokes?

This is the most amazing 3D work I've ever seen. I don't believe this was done in Bryce5, this must have been done with Maya or something of the like on a $50,000 SGI system. I"m crying now, but now my life is complete, I can die happy and fulfilled from viewing this piece of work. Must go kill myself now. I cannot do anymore with 3D after seeing this, you are the true master, this is unreal. I will buy a print of this for $2,000,000. Will you sell me one?

Here we have a much more self-assured and confident Loneglyph, bouyed upon the successes of such masterworks as his famous Stickboy and others, flexing his prodigious technical skills in a work which is sure to stun the Brycing community. One could hope for a tutorial, but then, it would certainly be WAY above everyone's head (SIGH).

lol!!!!!!! i couldnt stop laughing!!!!!! and yea i agree bout the fact that 99% of all poser pics are the very same except for some minor changes, there are some really great pics out there and those are the ones that are unique in some way, and that a sense of mood and feeling. anyone (almost) can create a pic of a boobed up bitch, while it takes someone special to create a world in a single picture.
