Description

The final render from this series. I like the way the colored glass worked on the vase (very interesting caustics/light play through the glass). This was a very early render in the process (I was mainly trying to decide how close to get to the roses -- I ultimately decided that I preferred the classic composition of the first image I posted, even though the roses were too far away for us to see that they were glass. There is very little postwork (for me) on the image. I removed one element on the far island, blurred the glass and shadow edges, and tweaked the levels. All in all, a very fast post. Thanks to all for the comments and encouragement!

You're right about the light play through the glass- it's one of the reasons I love playing with these programs so much. Beauty of a picture!

I love how the light dances in the glass vase. It's almost as if it has a life of it's own. Another lovely render!

As beautiful as the others. Especially the warm light through the vase. But you know, wich one I prefer.:)) In this one, I am not quite content with the size of the trees and the papyrus. Nevertheless: Excellent work. :))
