Description

This is Pipsqueek, Scruffy's daughter she's the one that was to sick to climb the rivien to feed when we frist started comeing,Scuffy nursed her for well over 6.5 months, which is unherd of you can't tell but she's in really rough shape here alittle better then she was, she had been hit by a car,her other side was completly black & blue, big sours where stones had been embedded in her flesh, once again I thought she had lost all her babbies, she was hit when she was ready to have them, one very lucky little guy lived, she had a few good sized stones in her side she couldn't get out of her side,so when she was feeling alittle better she came & sat with me,after I stopped her sister from beating the crap out of her, once again lol, I could tell they were hurting her badly she was crying in pain, then she did something that honnored me,she took my hand in her tiny hands and I said show me what you need me to do" she put my hand on her side, then she looked ahead closed her eye's,let me take the stones out of her side she cried out only a few times, so we took a break then when I was done she let me clean them out what shocked me the most was she'd drink & eat the food I had put antbiotic's in, it tasted awfully gross !! all the other raccoons would smell it then turn up they'er noises, & Scruffy with new babbies of her own & PipSqeek with a baby, she let her nurse again & would gentaly clean the wounds, she boxed Bashfull's ear's for beating her up again, nothing like mom breaking up a fight lol only raccoon Bashfull wouldn't fight with was Scruffy, but she would stick up for PipSqeek if any other raccoon but her tried to beat her up where she's sitting was only about 10 feet of the ground but she was so soar it took her almost 20 min, to climb up it,with me at the bottem very nervous ready to catch her if she fell, she really needed a break,I hope you enjoy,& thanks for all your wonderfull comments on my last post "A Little bit of heaven"

that some story I know it true you do have a touch with the animals. I think you can make friends with any animal. You heard of st. Francis of Ali[can not spell the name sorry], but he too can talk to the animals and they will listen and do what he say. once he came to a town and they had a bad wolf that killed many people and Franic found the wolf and talk to him and the wolf became the town friend and even help the town people too. so the story goes. I love these pictures of yours and the storys too.

Ladyhawk, that is one of the most touching animal stories I have heard in a long time. We feed about a dozen bandits also several deer(the numbers change daily and hundreds of birds. We are curently owned by two Irish Wolfhounds, and we have just rescued a wolfee that was abanded by her owners when they moved to Tx. two years ago. She stayed at the house all this time, I have no idea how she survived that long on her own. The people( I use the name people with reservation) deceided to sell the house and when the real estate lady noticed the dog she called wolfhound rescue and we went over "50 miles" and brought her home. We are so glad we deceided to keep her, she fits right in:)

Oh yea, I will believe anything when it comes to coons and their intelligence. Have raised two of them myself, and no, they never ever were put in a cage. The first when I was a kid, our house burnt right to the ground, well the misses had stopped living there by then anyhow. She was just coming for weekly visits then, but after the fire we didn't see her for a year or more, then one day she showed up with a couple babies stayed in the attic for a couple days, then gone again. She then started up her weekly visits again totally weird. We never did figure out why she would come and go like that.

Caught in the act. What a sweetie. I hope she is still around and doing well. I think animals are sometimes angels in disguise.
