Description
My dear friends, I was going to finish all the comments I needed to make before uploading this Watercolor Painting, but It's been so long since I've been able to be here I knew I needed to give a explanation of my absence to alot of my dear friends here.
Over the past 2 months, there have been alot of medical tests that were needed to be run. First for my brother, who most of you know, has Leukemia (CLL). I went through some rigourous testing to make sure (for my doctors) that I would be able to donate Bone Marrow Stem Cells. That took about a month to complete and finally we were able to send my blood down to Texas for Compatibility Testing. We still have not heard back as yet and I will let you know when I know.
Secondly, for the past month I have been quite ill. I contracted some Flu or Cold inintially which began as a very bad sore throat and chest congestion. It really began to take it's toll when I could no longer eat or drink due to the nausea. That lasted for a week and a half and I was within 2 days of being hospitalied if it did not turn around. It did and I was so grateful, because I did not want to have to be hospitalized. It has only been a few days since I have been able to eat, drink normally and be able to sit at my computer. I lost something like 17 pounds, which is a good thing although not a good way to lose weight, and was quite weak for most of my illness. I do apologize for not being able to make comments on so much of your wonderful work and will dedicate myself to that over the next few days. I don't want any of you to ever feel taken for granted for the time, effort and excellence your artwork represents.
Finally, this watercolor painting was referenced from a photo I found on the Wildlie-Pictures-Online.com website. Their photos are wonderful and there for the buying as a wonderful resource. I do enjoy watercolors, but they do take me much longer to finish.
The details: I did a light pencil sketch referenced from the photo and began painting with the watercolor paints and with watercolor pencils. After I was finished, I brought the painting into PSP8 and did a few minor touch-ups with the framing and softness. I do hope you like it.
God Bless you all. Sorry for the lengthy explaination. I hope you will all have a blessed day and many thanks for your patience!...Cheryl
