That's my husband David and I, and my beloved kitty Lucia. Lucia adopted me in 1996, and David and I found each other here..we started as best of friends, and are still soulmates. We were married in England on 6 May, 2005.
BIOI've been dabbling in digital art for about 6 years, starting with Bryce 3. I think I've improved quite a bit. I've been at Rendero for quite a few years; enjoy the forums and galleries. I do graphics mainly as stress relief, and also because I can't draw with a pencil and paper worth a damn! (Didn't inherit any of my father's prodigious artistic talent)
The main programs I'm using these days are Vue Infinite, Poser 4.03, 5 and 6, PhotoShop 6 and CS, and PaintShop Pro 7 & 8. I also play with Terragen and Mojoworld 2 & 3 (among others).
I don't really stick to one genre; I've been bouncing between nature scenes, portraits, with and without postwork, people, places, things, nature, animals, and fantasy. Right now I'm concentrating on texturing and lighting in Vue 4 Pro, and have been doing sprite images because they make me feel so lighthearted.
My sweetheart's name here is madasatadpole, and he's a very talented and creative artist. Please visit his gallery to see some stunning landscapes as well as some very silly humor! So thanks to Renderosity for not only being a source of information and fun all these years, but for bringing me the most precious gift of all. His dad also has a gallery here, madasadadpole, lol, please stop by and check out his lovely watercolors.

I love the way you play with lights and shadows. It's magical. Very lovely scene, excellent composition and textures. vote Concerning unkind comments: I agree with you. As to me: I admire everybody who finds his own way to make the best of this programm, no matter if it is landscape, surrealism, with or without postwork or anything else. My advice: Don't take these people who try to devaluate the works of others too serious. That gives them importance they don't deserve.

Totally agree with you, Christie. Don't let those people bring you down. Just ignore them like I'd do. ;) I personally don't mind to see more of your beautiful creations would it be nature related or not. It's always a big pleasure for me to look at your works. Keep 'em coming! Oh and btw. excellent shadowplay once again - very magical! :)))

WOW....the lighting is this is fantastic D! VERY WELL DONE! In regards to your above statement... I could not agree more. If a person does not like something, then dont look at at it comment on it. Don't let these individuals who don't have any talents themselves, try to get you down. Your work is alway exceptional....

Well said! If someone doesn't like a picture, s/he should either politely offer constructive suggestions for improvement, or just click "Back to the Gallery." Now, regarding this image... it's gorgeous! You just keep getting better with your shadow techiniques! And the vegetation is superb as usual. Truly outstanding! :-) V

Wow, excellent one Christie. Just perfect. Funny how the tree looks like a sort of fish with open mouth. Well, by any reason i missed the comment about landscapes. Funny to say that about a program that is made as a landscape generator. I hope we can have more fun with this guy!

AGREE! AGREE! AGREE! with all above on your wonderful render, especially shadows and on the comments. PLEASE!!!If you don't want to see landscapes, then don't look at the VUE forum! Or Bryce for that matter! DUH!!! Go cruising through Poser. But, OH dear, More and more landscape types of backgrounds there too! Guess this oh so BORED individual will have to result to other means of viewing art. Great job, Christie!

Love the dark and light contrast on this scene. The textures are superb. And don't stress yourself on those comments, consider it just an advertisement ploy like pepsi vs coke. People has their preferences and if you let that into your skin you are letting them win - don't quit posting. let them suffer to see your work get good reviews.

That looks simple wonderfully. I like especially the magic atmosphere and the vegetation. Excellent work! :) V

Hurtful criticism is always a sign of jealousy. Saying you are bored with landscapes is like saying you are bored with beauty. I personally adore the scenes in this gallery, they always take me to such magical and magnificent places. Your scene is rich with color and mood and that little fae full of mischief. Lovely artwork. :o) CC
