This is sort of new for me: new is the subject, that I never properly tried before (I love fantasy, but it's not really my realm), new is the style, kind cartoonish, and hopefully although I reckon is so basic effort I am hoping my trial will please you.
As I wrote this was a request from Elfenone, to try to take part at the Dragon stuff contest (don't know really if I will enter... as I said this is very , too very basic piece for any contest).
My time is always very limited so I had to complete this quicker than I was hoping for.
Basically, I spent yesterday to make it and today I just put some final touch while I was relaxing in the countryside.
It's hard to do something neat with no tablet! Mouse isn't really the best way to create this (or maybe it's just that I am crap ;)) but I came up with something at least.
It was a really nice way to experiment new horizon journey :)

Yeah, very cool picture, great colors. I could never do anything like that with a mouse, you should talk someone into giving you a tablet for christmas ;) The small wacom things are already really neat and not that expensive.

It reminds me of Valentina's work... also Annika (Freyah) :-) You have quite a good combination of colours here, nothing too bright and jarring :-) You need more practice in placing typography so it doesn't compete with its background, but that will come with practice :-) What impresses me about this is that you managed it with just a mouse... oh man, that would do my head in now, no way could I go back to that! Ohh, a new side of your art Meli, a fantastic style that seems to fit you. Expressive and wonderfully colored. Done with the mouse only, that impresses me! You have to talk to Santa so he brings you a Wacom for Christmas. or is it so that you have one at your other computer?
