Description
In the mists of dawn, One last brave Knight rides forth to face the the last of the dreaded red terrors that have long been the scourge of his small kingdom. As the dawn breaks full over the misty shoreline, metal and bone clash in a mortal fury that thunders down the corridors of this mighty fortress. As the peasants cringe and huddle in dark corners of the castle, the torrent of war grows silent. Then, as the mists begin to fade away, the brave knight painfully makes his way back across the drawbridge. He is body is broken and battered and his beloved steed has been claimed by the battle, but on this fateful day the horrible reign of terror has ended and with it ends the age of the Dragons.
Vue 4 on a Mac; Slight levels adjustment is only postwork;
This was my entry for the August Vue Challenge.
Credits:
I have spent just over four hours over two evenings trying to track down the origin of this wonderful castle. If I remember correctly, someone offered it free from a link on a gallery image a little while back, but for the life of me I can't find the source now (People, please include READ-MEs with your freebies);
The excellent dragon was a freebie from the internet with no credits attached (I would love to know who made him as well);
The horse is from the "Dominique" model by Mike Beals;
The knight (though hard to see) is the low-poly Crusader from www.imi3d.com;
All textures are procedural, by me.
