Here are Chuck's personal words to the community:
I am a self-taught artist, formerly working in traditional or conventional media. For the last two years I have been experimenting with CG (Computer Graphics), and trying to transition from traditional/conventional media to digital imaging. In a few words, I simply love art and always have. Many of my images are "post-worked" by hand, re-scanned and manipulated in Photoshop. On occasion, I still use pencil, Prismacolor, Silverpoint, Pen & Ink or painting to achieve the desired effect. Whether executed the "old way" or the "new way" or a combination of both, which I often fall back on.
Art is art and it is the end result that is (hopefully) appreciated.

Wow!!! awesome. I honestly think that the face of the statue/corfin is kind of hmmmmm I don't know, there is something about the nose, maybe too wide and the eyes are not looking straight, one is looking to one side and the other to the other side. Blue eyes? well why not. in general I love it and love the concept.

The promise of love eternal--one stronger than death? A delight...

I like your art very much. This piece is beautiful too, (as I see it, at least). Perhaps except the face of the sphinx, he looks too mundane and boyish to this image. I would make him look more 'magic' or otherworldly (like Venosa's paintings, see www.venosa.com)... for example: smaller eyes, or even closed eyes, a nose that is more ... thin and long, and so on. But the rest is a delight to see! /Stefan, imagicarts.com
