Article 1: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Democracy in action. To quote Theodore Roosevelt, "To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."

very colorfull manifestation, in all the acceptation of the word "colorfull"

what can i say to improve that image, it's an emotional one, the crop is good and intense, and this is the USA i liked to death, colorful, not under influence, a place where i liked to be, to live, and i pray that those USA will be back soon and the nightmare is away, cos we "got a dream"...just an opinion from an old Europe citizen...For the joy i feel, VOTE!

There's something compelling about this, an honesty in expression and a sweep that captures many different expressions and convictions. Something down to earth about a willingness to be out in the street, getting dirty and sweaty and dealing with the crowd. The Republican Convention was so incredibly white. So many pale aging faces repeating the same ideas, homogenized idealism. It's hard for me to look at this picture with all it's layers of differences and think W has truly been a "uniter, not a divider". This group, in all it's divergence, is united. Together in spite of their differences in an effort to achieve a common goal. I like that picture of America. Hell. I like that idea anywhere. Sorry to the people who have to bite back insullts and disparaging comments. Must be tough to live in a world where everybody is either for you or against you.

Uhhhh what? There are more minorities in higher seats of power in the Bush administration than any other administration before it.Okay I can see moore and jackson but Danny Glover!!! Dont ya just hate it when good actors go bad :(
lookoo
A really nice shot! @Flipflopper, good to see you making extensive use of your right to comment on the works of others which you consistently deny all of us and instead shove your opinions down our throats ;)

This photo was picked intentionally as to not be to politically inflaming. My intention was to let friends here at R know what I was up to. I forgot about the people in the picture, and what they represent. I appreciate all the thoughtful positive and negative comments, but also wonder why the people with negative views dont allow for comments on the images they post? Im going on vacation until the end of September. Then I will be back here commenting on all the great work, and posting many more provocative images.

Michael Moore looks distracted... Was there a hotdog cart near by? As a touch up, I would recommend pasting in a nice bucket of chicken where the short white woman is, removing her from the picture entirely.. Great Shot! http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=695307
