Description

Well after some discussion in the forum about realistic skin, I got to rethinking my node set-up....and started again from scratch. What you see above in the result of an extremely complex node setup. Spots and spec as before. But the real difference is in the simulated subsurface scattering. It's done by calculating the dot product between the main light and the normal of each face. As the dot product approaches 0, more red is added the the base texture. The effect is of light passing thru the skin when it hits it at an angle. As you can imagine, acheiving this in the mat room is not easy! Just to make it interesting, a turbulence node has been added to the displacement plug. Realistic or not? Please tell me.

Hello. I currently have your Real Skin Shader pack and as Ive already said in my mini review of the productIts absolutely fantastic beyond belief. By far the best product I have purchased for Poser 5 to date and by a bloody long shot at that. All I ask is that you promise to email me straight away if you ever release a revised improvement on your original script. Regards. James Tubbritt

Very impressive work Face off, the only thing I can see is perhaps tone down the turbulance. for male skin this is a perfect setting, but women (especially one as beautiful as her) have generally smoother skin!

I've purchased the Real Skin Shader and I'm not very impressed (sorry) I don't care for all the spots and freckles. Inless I'm doing something wrong even if I adjust it to it's lowest setting I have spots galore.
