Very beautiful poem and image Evie. Firemen all over deserve our thanks and a heartfelt prayer. They have one of the most dangerous occupations imaginable, not to mention horible hours and tough conditions to work within. But poor Stephen, to lose both parents is something no child should have to bear. I sure hope he has found a loving home. With you as his friend, there is at least one ray of light in his life. Every fireman has a sign on his chest that says "Please Kill Me!" It is a sign that only the fire can read.

Beautiful work and powerful poem...Life sometime's is hard and sorrow seems to stain the soul...As long as Stephen gets the love he needs his path in this life shall be lighter...Peace from druid...:)

I echo both Dave and tallpindo they have said it so well. Yes poor Stephen this shouldn't happen to a child life is at times very very cruel! MOST TOUCHING, Evie!!!

Wonderful work! Very heartfelt and beautiful poem too. I wish Stephen the very best. He should not have to go through this. Excellent art Evie and a vote too!

To thank you all for your comments and to let you know that stephen lives with the paternal grandmother in NY she is young enough to help him find peace, and raise him I talk to her once a month he is doing very good she wanted to thank you also as she popped in to take a look I always ask her permission when I do something because she doesn't want the last names printed but wanted me to say this, she lost a son to the angels and gain one back (her Stephen) and also glad she didn't see her daughter in-law suffer anymore and they're at least together wowwwwwwww (she made me cry with this e-mail) I thought perhaps you all wanted to know something about him and your all always so kind and thoughtful..TY
