I've been around a fair bit, seen the darker side of life, been burned, but still here. Different than most, we can have a unique outlook on things.
BIO
Originally started work with video production but quickly got involved in CGI in 1991 Unfortunately, almost all my work previous to 1999 (dating back to 1991) was lost due to computer problems, but a few pics survived (mostly the ones that were already online). The earliest renderings were done on Amiga500 with Sculpt/Animate4D, then later on an Amiga1200 with Imagine2, 3 and 4 Later renders were done on a Pentium133 in Imagine for DOS 4, then later on a PII233 with Imagine for Windows. Current work is done on my P4 3.2Ghz with 3dsmax, tho I have occasionally done some work with Lightwave and Cinema4D. Check out my homepage at http://members.iinet.net.au/~multispud22/

OH MY!! Great composite! It looks just too real. fantastic!!
Quikp51
Nice composite but the wine glasses need to cast a heavier shadow in that light.

This job have a great and incredible realism.....!! Vote

It looks so real! I've seen artists with all of the bells and whistles (such as myself) and I still wouldn't have a clue where to start. This is most excellent! Good luck at the HDRI Challenge!

Very nice Lahl...out of pure curiousity...how long DID it take to render, note to RadiositySG and Quikp51, this is a single pass render not a composite...
Lahl
Hard to tell how long it took. I had it rendering in the background at a low priority while rendering other things, like my badly done Gollum picture :) The glass slowed it right down tho, refractions usually do. If only Imagine had independant resolve depths for each object

I don't know who judges for that comp, but you deserve the win, imo.

My Congrats! And .. well, what can I say - I still try to figure out, whats real and whats done with HDRI and so on - would u mind to tell?? g That is an awesome picture youve done there! Im flatted .. ;O)

Nice work Lahl, but the reflection of that cup is still upside down in that chrome ball :P
Lahl
Yes. The upside-down cup is the result of projection mapping and rendering in a single pass only. Easily fixed if I rendered out another pass and composited it together, but that wasn't the point of the exercise :)
oooZENOooo
Real stunning work Lahl, you are worthy of artist of the month! Congrats and a vote for this splendid render!
