Description

I finally managed to buy a new scanner after my last one literally blew up, so I was eager to test it and scan something. I chose to scan my tarot deck, "The Goddess Tarot" by Kris Waldherr. For the scene, I didn't want to just put out random cards, so I did a reading for a main character in a fantasy novel (See if you can guess who from the reading if you like hehe). To my suprise, it fit the character perfectly, as well as his role and journey within the story. The cloth was also scanned from the cloth I use for my tarot readings. It is a very light semi translucent cloth which I folded into quaters and lay down on the table using simcloth3. I rendered it with translucency, so the folded layers of cloth help to give it a more realistic look (at least I hope so or else I wasted a whole lot of time lol) The image is just a preliminary work in progress, still lots more to do (as always), but thought I'd post this image anyway. :)
