Description
This was rendered in Bryce using imports from Poser 4.The figures are all Daz's Victoria 3 dressed with 3dwizards'(Cris Palomio) Star Brigade set (Good Job Cris!-Well worth the money). All the weapons are made in LightWave 6 for another project I was doing (Aliens Scene).I think the lighting needed to be more subdued, but a friend suggested more not less light. Finally, I come to realize that damaged equipment is harder to model than intact ones! I must have rendered this thing a dozen times until I got it the way I wanted.

Excellent scene! I know what you mean about modeling damaged equipment, lol. I think you can get by with less light for an animation, but for a "still" like this, I think you've got it about right.

cooooooooooooooooooooooool! I am a huge sci-fi fan so this is going to appeal to me even more than usual. I just hope I can get scenes for my project to look this good!

Excellent work on characters. I love the colors who give an old look to this SF scene ! -V-

It's a great scene setup, so far! And adding tarnished or dirty or damaged models has always been the bane of many a 3D artist. Keep it up, this is a complex and well thought-out scene already!

Tough job, getting that many characters in a pic and trying to suggest action. Very commendable (and twenty times better than I could do!) The angle and setting tells the overall story very well, and the touches of interaction between the figures are great, but I do find myself wanting more distinct points of focus. Maybe something as simple as a muzzle flash. As it is I find my eyes drawn mostly towards their light-up shoes.

Very cool scene.

A lot of work has been done here to achieve this top-notch scifi scene. Extremely well done!
