Some make the mistake that faeries and faerie-kin are weak and flighty creatures, unable to concentrate long enough to apply themselves to the discipline of arms. And though that is true of many, there are those amongst the immortal servants of the elven deities that are less ruled by the chaos in their blood than their diminutive kin. In fact, the faerie glades and deep sylvan forests of Arvandor have long been guarded from the invasions of the Beasts and the destruction of lower planar monstrosities by one single race of faerie-kin, the warriors known as Ghaele. Their beauty is matched only by their ferocity in battle, and they are no less divine servants than the Angels or the Olympians. It is also rumored that they are neither male nor female, but innate shapeshifters that can be whatever they desire. Whatever the truth of that, all recorded encounters with Ghaele have been with what observers concluded were females,... for two obvious reasons.
