Description
Well I went back by Swan Lake & Iris Gardens today to get some more shots, so I could get the last of the different species of swan they have. This is the last of the different species they have their, so will be the last of the series. I do have more shots of them in various poses that I will put up later. This is a Tundra Swan (Cygnus columbianus). Now a little bit about this swan.The Tundra Swan, formerly known as the "Whistling Swan" in North America. Among North American waterfowl this magnificent white bird ranks in size only second to its slightly larger cousin. the Trumpeter Swan. The Swan has a black beak with a yellow dot below the eye. These swans mate for life, and remain close to each other all year long. Young swans accompany their parents for the first year, learning migration routes and staging areas. Hope you enjoy the last of the different swan species.
