Description

This started out as another test of my groundcover technique using layered terrains. The "grass cover" extends throughout the entire scene - tell me what you think. - Maybe the DOF blur kills some of the details but I really like the effect in these "wildlife" scenes. Vue 4, Poser 4, TreePro, Photoshop CS. (Tree design by me, incl. the textures - bitmap work for the foliage). - Approx. 14 mio polygons, rendertime 5 hrs. I used a volumetric atmosphere this time, making the render quite heavy, of course :) Thanks for your comments on my last picture - hope you'll like this as well - comments always appreciated. Wow, Lars, I find this groundcover stunningly good !! as is the whole image. LOVE that DOF-effect. Another gorgeous landscape/nature scene.

Groundcover looks great! Perhaps you will want to share the tecnique in a tut. The sacrifice of details for the dof blur in this case works very well.
