Description

Not all small yellow flowers are dandelions. On the contrary, there are many different yellow flowers that looklike each other superficially. But, taking a closer look, this mouse-ear hawkweed (Hieracium pilosella) is quite different. To be honest, it took me some time to find out what species this is, but eventually I found it. With 3000 different species of plants in Switzerland it's not always so easy to determine the correct species. However, knowledge of the species is not required for enjoying its beauty.... Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 70 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

A really beautiful alpine plant. (by the way Open link in a New Window got me here.) Persistence in identifying the species gives remarkable value to the choice of the subject.
