Description

My handwritting kind of sucks, but I haven't used an over-sized Crayola marker in awhile either (thanks to Torin for letting Mommy use his stuff). I took the pic of my eye with my Canon A70, printed it and then wrote the poem on it, scanned it and submitted it :) And it all started because I wanted to prove that my son had my eye shape and his dad's eye colour so I took super-close pics of my hubby's eyes and mine and not as close but high res for my son's... In case it's not legible it says: rendered visions of rumoured glory stir my soul as I seek an ever elusive Utopia, beyond this world innate desires, rampant, persistent, overwhelming forgotten innocence disintegrates as sand in the wake of the visceral reality where I unwillingly exist my eyes pierce the veils which encase us as an intuitive catalyst I could see no less yet my journey to the hereafter has not begun

handwriting, the forgotten typography of yesterday. It's a beautiful poem, and I love the whole idea of writing on a printed image. It makes it all that much more beautiful.

I wish I could write in that level... It's very interesting. My vocabulary is not rich enough to write such poems. ... unfortunately If you can post a bigger image of that picture, it will be very lovely.

to experimental: thanks :) I was actually feeling experimental (really, no pun intended) when I came up with that idea... to efry_e: actually the amount of $5 words in there was a writing challenge I presented to myself, an exercise of sorts :) I wish I could post a bigger image of that... I hadn't realized that putting it in the writers community would limit the size... if you'd like to see a larger version of it go to http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/cagewench/rv-poemMED.jpg

"my eyes pierce the veils which encase us as an intuitive catalyst I could see no less yet my journey to the hereafter has not begun" ...in our own time and as planned, we all make that journey. No matter what term we use for Creator, we all have a force that enables us and spurs us on.

This is an excellent way to combine your talents. I especially love the line, " my eyes pierce the veils which encase us".
