Yo! I'm Dawn, 29 years old, born in California USA. Yeah, I'm a Cali Girl! *eg*
I found this site totally by chance a few years ago... They should put up a warning label that says "Warning - you will become addicted to this site!" lol I'm a self-taught artist going on...oh...*pauses for a moment* almost 20 years. I find many inspirations - mostly by comic books and music, as well as other artist's works. I am totally into CGI - especially Poser, as well as working on my own artworks using Photoshop. I hope you like my works - I put a lot of myself into them. At the moment (beginning August 2007) I've gone back to school and I'm going for my AA in Art. For those of you who don't get it, it's my Associates Degree. Three years from now I'll have my degree *whimpers at thought of amount of time* Hey! If it will teach me more than I already know, great! :-)
Thanks for stopping by to check out my stuff!

Well...you can always use airbrushes with lighter and darker colour values instead of the burn and dodge tool, but I don't know if that's really that "different". If the problem is in drawing over the lines...a little trick I like to use is to copy the lineart and then paste it on a new layer, set to multiply. The black lines on that layer will stay black no matter what you draw underneath, but the white is transparent.
