Been working in Paint Shop Pro, for about 11 years and more recently have become quite proficient in Abobe Photoshop and have been a Poser artist since 2005. I love soul music and it has been my good fortune to have met many famous soul & blues musicians, on the internet, some of whom are on my email list and as such, I have contact with them.
It is my privilege, to be married to a lovely girl called Cathy, who has such a tremendous flair for fine artwork and also produces, excellent work in Daz Studio. (GOLDILOCKSUK) BIO Started working in Poser and Bryce in June 2004. I still consider myself a beginner. There are far more talented artists than myself on Renderosity and their formidable talent, never ceases to amaze me, especially Ilona and Swam, Noyrac, Maddelerium and Bez, whose work and products I admire immensely. Thanks for visiting. Steve :o)

This is one fine image, as far as postwork, just got to practice and do tutorials and pick up all the clues you can from them. Some of them will even help you along with Adobe Photoshop. I stay frustrated all these grand images in my head, just not the experience to pull them off yet.
chrislenn
ummmmm you going to tell me what is wrong with this coz I can see nuffin at all wrong :o)- there is shadow and it is just right I think not all images need a lot of postwork more realism can be achieved with out it Chris :o) my first poser was draft render and bald lol didn't have a clue about adding hair or postwork

Excellent work Steve!!! As for post work, I was trying to create yesterday without using it (I failed lol) but you know you are very adept in PSP why not stick to that for any postwork & you got loads of friends that you only have to shout "Help" and they all will! huggies Jen :o)

You know we all start somewhere...and postworking techniques can take years to get down...you honestly don't give yourself enough credit...you and your wife have come farther in these few months with poser than I have in double that time....if I did a :pure poser" render...it wouldn't look half as lovely as this! Further more....there is no such thing as learning all you can....not ever....you and your wife are incredibly talented and imaginative and all you need is desire and patience...you both have desire...so just be patient with yourselves...I personally have been very proud of the both of you...I would tell you if I thought otherwise...and you two have what it takes to do anything you put your mind to...especially since having each others support...as for postwork...and Photoshop...I recommend Adobe's Classroom in a Book....probably the best book on Adobe you will find and it is wonderful for people with little or no experience...how do you think I learned this stuff :O) (Maybe I shouldn't give away all my secrets...within a week of reading it I bet you do way better stuff than I do) :O) ANyway...HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGS!!!!!! and have some faith AND PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACKS!!! YOU'VE COME ALONG WAY!!!!! AWESOME JOB ON THIS!!!! :O)

This render looks great! I love the lighting and the figure looks like it really is standing in the room.

Steve - I've got to agree with Chris (I just folloed back here from her pic for you lol) There's nothing wrong with this image as it stands and your use of background photo images is second to none! I'm pretty much a postwork try it and see guy right now too - my advice is just to start very very simple and with each new pic if you try just one more trick you'll soon have an impressive array of tried and trusted tricks up your sleeve! Give me a shout any time if you want some help :o) Keep them coming and make sure it's always (well - almost always lol) fun!!!

Steve. I used photoshop for 3 years as a graphic artist and am still learning. I started with PS3 about 6 years ago. If you want to learn postwork techniques look at books for photographers as many of the skills used to retouch photographs are the same used to Postwork a render. You are more familier with PSP and the tools are very similar so there is no reason why you cannot do your Postwork with that, The techniques are still the same.
terryla
would have to agree with all the others. You and your wife are both doing great! Follow some of your favorite artists back to their first 6 months and you will get a kick out of what you see. What you will see is they were not born rendering...They worked at it, and some even struggled with it. Thank You for sharing!!!!!

it's looks very very good !!!!the Lights and Lady are natural :) don't give up :o) Suse

Its how you set up an image that all the work goes into, postwork is just to removed the crinks and any mistakes that Poser makes. You do a beautiful job on your images and the lighting is amazing!! Continue to do your work and if you feel the need for postwork then apply but your images are excellent just the way they are!! Have a great day and happy Posering!!!
1010
Not everyone here uses PS for postwork either. All depends what you get used too. Your images are pure poser and without need of postwork. You make your figures look like they belong in the photo, that's what counts.
pjaj
1010 is right! Not everyone here uses PS for their postwork, nor does everyone postwork looks the same. Each artist has their own unique style and as you learn more, you'll find your own unique way of creating your images. I think you're doing a fantastic job! I wish I didn't delete my gallery a year ago, with all of my old images, because you would've seen how far I've come. Keep up the wonderful works my friend and don't give up!!
iamkate101
I think this is an incredible image! I always thought you did ps postwork! Shows what I know. I freeze when it comes to postwork so I have stopped stressing over it. I have learned a few things that I try over and over and if I do postwork cool, if not I dont worry to much becuase I really like pure poser. This is an excellent job!!!!
cloughie
Don't give up Pal!!!!! There is certainly a lot more that you can do with Poser...the possibilities are endless! Can I suggest that you just 'cruise' the galleries more and then think to yourself..."how the hell did that artist achieve that?" Then contact them and ask them! I'm sure that they will tell you!!!! I've said before...go further than using photographic BG's. Use Bryce and Infinity Cove etc! Cheers Mate! Alan

I am hopeless at post work I must admit what I have done in the past you have helped me with. Your girl is fantastic and we can both learn together because we are married lol! The lighting is awesome oxoxoxoxox Cathy
papachile
Hey now! I think that your work rocks! I love that incorporation of the background with her sensual gorgeousness! Postwork can be fun, but most of the time I get by without...I am still learning it...don't get discouraged! Everyday we get better and better!
jwdell
Steve your work gets better every day!!! You do better at Poser/Photo combinations than some Who've been doing it for years!! Postwork is my specialty, if you have any questions, just ask my friend I'll be happy to help anytime!! Keep rockin, and never surrender!!! -JD

Hey Steve! Just think how your lighting work has come on in the last month - by leaps and bounds. Try to concentrate on one thing to learn at a time and have fun playing around 'til you get an effect you like. btw: I love the scene perspective and scene of this pic :) ali x
