Description

This was the conclusion of a few weeks of testing Vue 5 beta. This scene is using the new Radiosity lighting model, only two lights and a lot of patience (about 96h of rendering at maximum quality. It is possible to get a similar result with a lot less time but I did not get a chance to run that render again). The character is Ruth, by Valentin.

96 HOURS!!! OH MY!!! The result is so fantastic, but still 96 HOURS! ;} I have never seen Ruth look so perfect and she is one of my favourites. I guess you must have a machine just for rendering ;}}

Thanks :) I wanted to see how long it would take if I pushed the envelope. I had to give up my main machine for that long and just rely on a smaller linux desktop for email / web during that time. It is not that bad to render that long actually - give you time for more real life stuff, like get out for example :)
