This is an image (one of about 50) that my son took. I was going to put up one of the ones he took of me straightening my skirt, fluffing my hair, fixing my bra, making a face or yelling at him to quit laughing and just take the stupid picture ... but decided on this one instead.BIOI am a freelance writer and published author, from Canada. I also putter with web design and fractals. My friends cringe when they open their e-mail and see an attachment with the subject line "What do you think of this one?"
I also do public speaking and have a book published, on bullying, which came out this year. I speak in schools and for different organizations about bullying and writing and it's pretty time consuming but a lot of fun ... the kids are great. I also work for a major financial institution, I guess you could say in my spare time. :)
I have a website for the book, if anyone is interested in seeing what it's about ...

It seems that pscott has a mystical and pagan side to her several remarkable creative talents. This shot thrills me, in a way, with its visual music and its compelling insistence that one enter among these trees, come what may, and find one's soul anew. What an image! What an experience!

A brilliant photograph in every respect, my friend ... a well-chosen point of view, subsequent unusuallly effective composition and excellent lighting and focus. It's good to see them hanging on [actually and metaphorically] despite all the trials and tribulations of cliff-hanging.In a word - wonderful.

Wonderful shot of nature's tenaciousness! Obvious lightning strike and still they hold on...as you are also my friend! Keep up the great work and someday when I'm meeting deadlines I shall recall this photo and your time at the sacrificial altar of the publisher's desk! LOL

Interesting shot. I like the fact that the trees are still hanging on for dear life. Seems like alot of people I know :) What camera do you use?

We all seem to grab earth by whatever handles she offers us in order to keep from spinning upward, downward or outward. In this photograph, it's almost as though you've captured raw desperation in pixel form... and its beauty is beyond words. Mother nature wields the paintbrush... and you, my friend, know just where to find her latest masterpieces... :) Hugs and kudos on the book... you deserve a few million bucks for your insight, imagination and talent... but if they didn't even offer to buy you a cup of coffee... I know you'd feel rewarded by the texture of the binding in your hands, hon. The prodigal child alights on your doorstep.... :) V
