Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

This looks a bleak place! I'm waiting for your spectacular views when you reach the top! I can just see a peep of it, in the top left! You deserved that chocolate!!!

Very beautiful view! Hm, how should I say, this mountain looks dead, it looks like, because of the humand hand, all the fauna and flora has gone. 2.600m? This is not the height where a mountain should look like you show us here.

Harsh mountain, the path looks quite easy (in this point). Waiting for the view from the summit. Go on !

this mountain looks a bit lonely...but i feel strength and endurance here! Is the mountain dry or a bit muddy? I'd like to run all the way to the top! I sure am hoping we eventually wind our way around to that lake! i'll take a piece of that chocolate too!!!! clears throat and holds out greedy hand excellent work!!!!

SNAKEY
yeah this is cool. I like it mate, oh yeah the chocolate too............. since I am piggy riding you. There is something I notice, which I notice on my images too and others........ There is grain on the sky...... can anyone explain why it is there and how it can be avoided and once it is there how to remove it?? :O))
cynlee
ah, closer to our destination! yes, chocolate! :d
Enmos
Awesome view, i cant wait to get there.. either destination sounds wonderful !! Excellent work !! @Snakey: The grain is, in this case, a side effect of scanning.. but it can also be a result of extensive postwork or compression. If you have a clear blue sky you might try selecting the sky and just blur it :o)
