Description
This short break allows us to look a bit around. To the left and in front of us we can see the mountains that separate us from the southern Alps, with a different climate. Where we are now, the climate is mainly influenced by the North Sea, while the other side is mainly influenced by the Mediterranean Sea. And it's also a waterparting, the water here flows via the Rhine into the North Sea and on the other side via the Rhône into the Mediterranean Sea. The Danube lies far more eastwards, where the water flows into the Black Sea, connected with the Mediterranean Sea.

Really icey, the loose talus nearby holds little hope. To have a map in ones mind to see the divisions in their magnificence transcends whatever tiny concerns feel the foooting with a boot.
